Sending email problem

I get email on all my Ionos accounts, but I can't send on any of them. I have reset off the login info, but no luck. I went the the Apple email verification page and when I enter any of the Ionos addresses is get: Mail settings are not known for your email provider. I have search the community but none of the answers seem to match.

I'm using an iMac with the most recent software. I use Apple Mail. My email address ends in comcast.net The institution sends me an email, but it never arrives. Not in any mailbox. Not in inbox, junk, trash, or anywhere. I've been on the phone with companies, they double check my email address, resend multiple times while I'm on the phone with them, we always end up having to use my gmail account instead. It's especially maddening when I'm trying to log in to a secure system that doesn't use text messages to verify identity but instead insists on sending an email message to verify my identity. I've added all the senders to my contacts, but this hasn't helped.

Email problem following update to 16.6 After updating both my iPhone and iPad to os 16.6, I can no longer send email using the Mail app, from my primary email account (with my ISP). I keep getting a message that the sender's address is invalid. I can still receive email from that account -- and send email using the devices that haven't been updated yet. I have to think that something in the update is causing this issue. I went to my ISP's website, got the latest email setup settings, which appear to be the same as I have. I'm not going to update the other devices until this issue is resolved. Is anyone else having this issue with the new update?

Email sent from wrong account I have a big problem with my email. I have 4 email accounts, each comes with IMAP and SMTP settings. When I send an email and select that e.g. the email is to be send from account 3, it will wrongly be sent from account 1. This is very embarrassing because I strictly want to seperate email accounts. This behaviour is only on my Mac, on my iPhone it works fine. What's wrong here? Thanks!
