on Google Chrome, you can not search by image on Google Images like you can on Safari. Why is that?

Thers no image search square on the right of the blank like on the Safari

I don't have an answer for you. Looking at Google Image search on my iMac, there no difference in Chrome and Firefox. Other than I allowed microphone access in Chrome.

the reason why i downloaded Chrome was because Safari was having problems. a lot of the sites on Safari wouldn’t load correctly. They would just load all black with just text. I think i mentioned this on this board before. It was like that on all my devices. If this search by image thing is strictly a safari feature then why does only the Google site have it? Search by image feature only on the Google site but only on Safari browser. i’m a bit confused on who created that search by image feature. was Apple or Google or both?
If all that key brings up is the Emoji keyboard, you don't have any other keyboards installed.
I'd recommend you start by deleting Chrome and re-installing it. If that doesn't work then it's time to contact Google for support.

But what keyboard are you using? Are using the standard, built-in keyboard? Or something else? What to you see when you tap on the little smiley face key?

I have to correct something. The microphone icon in Chrome appears because in the current version of Chrome for macOS, you can do an image search by voice.
You still need to contact Chrome support.
In Chrome, tap in the search box. At the top left of the keyboard, you will see an icon for searching by image. It's next to the microphone. The icon is a little different.

yes, that’s how the keyboard appears.
mine just doesn’t look like that🤷 i don’t know. i didn’t know there were different types of keyboards.. That smiley face key is the emoji key. nothing but emoji’s i use them all the time.
