It is absolutely ridiculous you can’t block someone from inside the contacts app

This is one of those things that just sits there for decades and nobody ever fixes it. The fact that I can’t go into my contacts list, view a contact, and click block, is ridiculous. The Hoops you have to jump through to block somebody, are nonsensical.

If I’m lucky enough to have an existing chat with them, I can do it from there. I have no idea why.

If I don’t have an existing chat going with them, I better hope that I made a recent phone call to them because you can do it from there.

But if you go into the Contacts app? The option is simply not visible.

Why? What was the thought process there? Let’s put it *everywhere* except the most obvious, reasonable place?

If All of that doesn’t work, I have to manually go type the number into a screen deep inside the settings. Perhaps maybe put it in the contacts app where it belongs and literally nowhere else?
