Skype screen sharing issue in Ventura 13.4.1

When screen sharing in Skype, it tells me I need permissions from System Settings for Skype...it will only share my desktop background and no windows, even though the permissions for Skype are set to the on position. Here is what I have tried:

  • Restart iMac Pro running MacOS 13.4.1
  • Updated Skype to most recent version
  • Restarted Skype
  • Reinstalled Skype
  • Turned permissions for Skype off, then on

Any ideas would be appreciated. A google search only tells me to turn on Skype in System Setting under Privacy>Screen Sharing....so frustrating!

I appreciate the compliment! I have tried to get ahold of Skype support and cannot, for the life of Jesus, get ahold of anyone. It is a circle of bots "helping" with issues. I even tried through the Skype app giving feedback and contacting support that way...but no go. It was an issue years ago apparently, but nothing recent. I guess my only option is to kill Skype again and get an app that will kill all the preference files as well and try that. Trouble is, Microsoft hides files EVERYWHERE. Grrrrrr.

Anyways I appreciate the suggestion WinsC1!
