Cannot turn off double click for Apple Pay in iOS 16.5

Right at the outset, there is *no option* in Wallet and Apple Pay on the iPad to enable or disable the double click home button, it only exists on the iPhone in iOS 16.5. There is also no option in accessibility > top button/touch ID on the iPad in iOS 16.5. There have been some online stores I have been able to successfully use Apple Pay where it just asked for my pin code, and other places that want me to double click the home button which I'm physically unable to do. If anyone has a solution for this, I'd be eternally grateful.
