How to transfer data from damaged iPhone to new iPhone

It's based on my experience and I've been used 3 years of my iphone 8 plus. Financial consideration caused after front screen display was damaged. I've already been to Apple store several times. They would not offer repair or replacement in Apple store to fix my screen. I brought my question back and asked how to transfer data from damaged iphone to new iphone. I haven't changed or upgrade because I don't want spent on repair.

So back to my question, is it possible?

Without a functioning screen you can only restore from a previous backup

muguy is correct. If you have been backing up your iPhone, you can restore your backup to a new iPhone. But if you didn't back up your iPhone, your data can't be restored to a new phone. The time to worry about ensuring no loss of data is before catastrophe occurs.
