Airplay on Samsung 2019 4K tv

Airplay will not work on my 2019 Samsung tv since I updated software to 16.5.1 on my iphone 13 pro max and ipad 12.9". Does anyone know why, or have a solution? Thanks

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

What happens when you try?

Does the TV not show up as an option for AirPlaying?

Is your TV one of the models below?

  • Samsung FHD/HD 4, 5 Series (2018)
  • Samsung QLED 4K Q6, Q7, Q8, Q9 Series (2018, 2019, 2020)
  • Samsung QLED 8K Q9 Series (2019, 2020)
  • Samsung The Frame Series (2018, 2019, 2020)
  • Samsung Serif Series (2019, 2020)
  • Samsung UHD 6, 7, 8 Series (2018, 2019, 2020)

Is the AirPlay option turned on on your TV? Consult your TV's use guider for how to find and turn on the AirPlay Option.

  • My tv is a Samsung QLED 4K Q6, Q7, Q8, Q9 Series (2018, 2019, 2020)

Yes the tv shows as an option, but when I choose it, it appears to start searching to connect, and then nothing happens, the tv just shows the airplay Home Screen, but won’t stream anything.

Yes, AirPlay is turned ‘on’ on the tv.

‘’I have tried all my streaming apps on both the phone and iPad, and there’s only 2 apps that will actually work with the airplay on the tv…the Plex app, and the Apple TV+

when I was still using iOS 15 on both devices, I had no issues with airplay at all 🤷🏻‍♀️
