iOS 16 Ford Sync Phone Audio Issues

Since updating to the latest iOS update (16.5.1), my Ford Sync has been acting up in my F-250 in CarPlay and Bluetooth for phone audio. Maps, apps, text, all works fine. When making a phone call from either CarPlay or Bluetooth, the ringer is silent, whoever I’m calling picks up, and I have to turn my volume all the way up on the truck to even hear a whisper of what they are saying. I can be heard fine on their end. It is extremely frustrating that I am having these issues just because of Apple continuing to update their software and not pay attention to the little things like compatibility with Ford Sync. I have tried three different generations of iPhones in my truck with the same iOS, did not work. My phone works perfectly fine in my wife’s Honda with CarPlay and Bluetooth using phone audio.

Troubleshooting completed:

Removed and re-sync’d iPhone from CarPlay in truck

Removed and re-sync’d from Bluetooth on truck and iPhone

disconnected negative battery cable on truck and reconnected

system reset on Ford Sync

Complete system reset of iPhone

Contacted Ford - no help and claim it’s an Apple issue

Phone audio is a huge and basic feature of Ford Sync and needs to be fixed by Apple. This is making me want to switch to an android because Apple fails to pay attention to the small details.
