are my air pod pros supposed to have different model numbers?

my left airpod has model number that’s different than the right one

Yes, the AirPods themselves are supposed to have different model numbers. If you see the same model number on both, then it would mean you somehow have two of the same side AirPods (two lefts or two rights).


If you're looking to identify the AirPods model, for example if you have a 1st or 2nd generation version, you would look at the model number that is on the inside of the AirPods case, not the model numbers that are on the actual AirPods.
