How do you put your MacBook in airplane mode ?

Just go to Apple menu -> System Settings and search for Network. Turn WIFi off.

in the upper right also allows you to turn off Airport with a simple on/off slider.

Bluetooth can be searched for in the Settings as well.


Bluetooth and WiFi (Airport is Apple's name for WiFi) are typically the only MacBook wireless technologies of concern during takeoff and landing.


Some people buy USB-Cellular dongles for their Macs. These you just unplug. I recommend keeping them in a ziplock bag, or a zipper travel so they don't get lost.
