iphone 12 does not ring for callers who are not in contacts list and these callers go straight to voicemail.

I have tried all suggestions found from Apple including disabling silence unknown callers, do not disturb, call forwarding, and airplance mode and checking blocked caller list and checking ring and volume switch and rebooting and resetting.

Hello Knowthums,

We understand you have an issue receiving calls from anyone not saved to your Contacts. You've also mentioned checked several settings that were great first steps. One other thing to confirm is that you don't have any iOS updates to install. That will often resolve an issue. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to confirm.

Update your iPhone or iPad

Next, if the issue persists, does this only seem to occur when you are on Wi-Fi? Do you perhaps use Wi-Fi calling?

Go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling to check. If it is enabled, disable it to see if that helps Reply back with how it goes.

Best regards.
