Card Not Added to Apple Wallet - No Solution?

I’m trying to add a compatible and supported card to my Apple wallet. I keep getting the error “Card Not Added- Contact Card Issuer for More Information.” The bank, Apple, and VISA all claim the issue is not on their side. What do I do?


Bank says all they can do is verify cards, but the card won’t go to the verification stage, so it must be on apple’s end.


Apple tried some troubleshooting, but claimed since the error wants me to speak to the bank that it’s on their end.


Bank recommended speaking with VISA, they wordlessly transferred me back to my bank.


I’m at my wits end. My insurance cards, and my Square Debit added just fine, but my two Navy Federal Cards keep having this issue. Even when I can get it to the verification stage it doesn’t seem to ACTUALLY send the information to verification. It MUST be on Apple’s end, right?


I’ve verified my settings with the troubleshooters from Apple, I verify that the information on my card matches what’s entered in the app, and even when it hits the verification stage it doesn’t actually give my verification request to my bank at all.

A solution was found and it *was* on my banks side.


For some reason Navy Federal was putting a Fraud block on my cards when I tried to add them to Apple Wallet and that is why they weren’t properly sending to verification.


The solution we used was to have a manager from Fraud manually prevent my cards from going to Fraud while Apple Wallet app pushed my cards through to verification.


after that I could have them verified normally.


If you’re having the same problem whether or not you’re from Navy Federal, ask about Fraud flags on your account before calling someone else. I was bounced around a billion times and it all could have been avoided if the first rep told me about the fraud flag on my account.
