I’m drawing a complete blank here on how to make this work…

I’m trying to log into a new device with my iCloud, but my iCloud is for some reason still associated with my old phone number(to verify) and because I supposedly had the recovery key enabled, I’m not given the option to click “can’t use this number” and request a account recovery to be able to update it to the current phone number. And to make matters even more difficult, I don’t know my recovery key or how to obtain it… Can anybody help here?

Do you still have access to a device that is signed into this apple ID?

You might be able to generate a new key from that device.

How to generate a recovery key - Apple Support

If you are unable to generate a new key from any devices, you migth be locked out from this apple ID forever.

If so, you shuld try and backup any information you have access to still that is locally stored, and make a new apple ID.

But you migth run into issues signing out of your devises. and migth have to resort to:

In any case I would recommend to:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

So they can help you find the best way forward if you are unable to generate a new key.
