Did not purchase movie from Apple, but can watch because of moviesanywhere. Cannot watch iTunes Extras.

I acquired a movie on another application (Vudu), not iTunes, that I can watch on my AppleTV application because it’s available through moviesanywhere. The movies has iTunes Extras, but I cannot access them. Is this because I did not buy the movie through Apple? ( The movie is Deadpool, which I acquired through Vudu, with a redemption code with the Blu-Ray disc).
