Blocked spam emails won’t send to trash bin

Hello

iOS (iPhone 14) doesn’t delete blocked emails as specified. Please don’t send links “how to do it” we know how to do it, simply it is not working! Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Pabulin,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Are you unable to block emails from a specific sender? If it occurs with any email address that you're unable to block, let's make sure that you're following these steps:

Mail
From the Mail app, open the email that has the contact that you want to block, then tap the contact at the top. Tap Block this Contact.

These steps are outlined here: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

In addition, you'll want to make sure that you have the latest version of iOS 16.5.1 installed, as it helps provide software improvements that can help. You can go to Settings > General > Software Update. From here, if an update is available you can follow the prompts to install the update.

We look forward to hearing back from you with an update.

Kind regards.

Thanks for the response. My answer to your questions:

“Are you unable to block emails from a specific sender?”this is not an answer to my inquiry. I am able to block any sender and I know how to do it. What my iPhone will not do is delete (or send to the trash bin) emails that has been blocked already as it should after I set it to do so.

Typically my phone would notify me if an update is available.

Thank you
