How do I know if I have the apple photo stream? I know I do have the Apple photo iCloud.

You can check your Photos settings following the instructions in the following Apple Support articles. My Photo Stream will be shutting down soon so you'll want to set up and start using the iCloud Photo Library instead.

"Save photos currently in My Photo Stream on your iPhone or iPad
- Open Photos and tap Albums.
- Tap My Photo Stream > Select.
- Tap the photos that you want to save, then tap the Share button
> Save Image.
On a Mac, your My Photo Stream photos automatically import to your library."
If you do not have photos there, and you checked the first two articles, then your photos are safe. Please reply back if you have any other questions about these features.
