Macbook calendar won't sync with google

The calendar won't sync Google data with the calendar even with the all browser extensions turned off. The calendar glitches when trying to move between the browser page and the calendar and won't give me the option of "allowing" Google access to the mac calendar. This was only noticed today.

Calendar.app can no longer add a calendar. My Calendar.app Version 14.0 running under macOS Sonoma 14.5 can no longer add a calendar. Pulling down from File illuminates the "New Calendar >" menu item, but does nothing. It does not expand, as the ">" mark suggests that it should. Clicking on "New Calendar" does nothing. Neither do double-clicking, Shift-clicking, control-clicking, Option-clicking nor Command-clicking. In addition to this anomaly (and possibly related to it) several other calendars, which I created long ago, have disappeared. I do not know how long ago they disappeared; I just today noticed their lack. I'd appreciate an explanation or suggestions about how to further research this anomaly. --Gil

Google Other Calendars not showing in Apple's Mac Calendar, nor on iOS I use EM Client for my emails and Google Other Calendars show up fine there as they do in Thunderbird. However, in Mac and iOS, I cannot see Other Calendars. I've tried disabling the account and deleting content and re-enabling it. I've tried deleting the account from Mac and iOS and setting up the email account again on both. I can see the main Google calendar just fine on both, but not Other Calendars. BTW, this is happening on two separate and unrelated gmail accounts. So it appears to be an Apple issue.

Calendar locking issue on Mac OS Sequoia 15.2 I can open Calendar and it looks completely normal. I can edit an event, as long as all I change are the date and alerts. If I try to edit the text, it locks the app. Cannot add a new event, as trying to edit the "New Event" text locks the app. In an attempt to localize the problem to a particular account, I have turned off the account calendars, one by one, until there are none checked. Still cannot add a new event to the calendar. Just started today. Running Mac OS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101). [Re-Titled by Moderator]

We understand you're having trouble syncing between Google Calendar and the Calendar app on your Mac. We'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

Check to see if you may need an app password. Due to security on your Google account, it may be unable to sync due to this: Sign in with app passwords
