YubiKey replaces physical (face or fingerprint) recognition on iOS devices?

Will YubiKey replace my current fingerprint authentication on my iPad? Or my iPhone’s face recognition?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Touch ID or Face ID are used for access to devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs).

YubiKeys are an option for protecting your Apple ID, not your devices. See the following from About Security Keys for Apple ID - Apple Support

Physical security keys provide extra protection for your Apple ID against phishing attacks.
