Let me see if I understand it now.

I created a mock contact. In place of the usual “mobile” or “home,” etc. label, I created a custom label named “Custom” See the red square.

Now, I tapped “Edit” in the top right corner. Then, I tapped on my custom label. See the red square.

Doing that brings me to a page where, when I scroll all the way down, I see my custom label. Now, I will swipe left on the custom label named “Custom,” which brings about the option to delete it.

Having deleted the old custom label, I must now choose another label, whereupon I am directly taken back to the editing stage of the contact, where I can tap “Done” in the top right corner to complete the process.

As you can see, mobile is now the new label.

If this didn’t answer your question, please reply back with more details.

Good Luck!

Ok let me try another way of explaining, giving a specific example.

contact name (xxxx)

add phone

“Home”or any other in the system list followed by the phone number

OR at the end of the system, repair list gives an option of add custom label, which would take the place of

“Home “etc. choice. (of course the same applies if it’s a URL OR EMAIL)

The specific no longer wanted, custom labels are what I would like to know how to delete
