Hi, I am recording a course via Zoom on a MacBook Pro, where I share my screen in order to do a presentation. I noticed that the quality of the recording is different than the actual presentation I record. The logo is not as clear and sharp, same goes for the font colour, it has lost its brightness. Same thing I experience with recordings without sharing the screen. All softwares are updated. Any ideas why is this happening?
The shared presentation is likely optimized to share it over the internet. This means it is in fact lower resolution than your original source material. It might also be a feature of the recording, to minimize disk space used by the recording.
It has nothing to with cabling or a "longer path". This is a feature of the Zoom software.

My experience is this is normal. Secondary displaying of an image will always be slightly degraded because of the longer path, more devices and cables and such it must pass thorough.
If you want higher resolution on the final display, you'll have to allow for degradation and start with a higher resolution than you are now using.
