Latest Update Cleared Safari History

Just noticed all my browsing history prior to 22nd June has just GONE following the latest security update to IOS. Has this happened to anyone else, and is the update the reason why it's happened? I thought so because that was released on the 21st June and anything in my history prior to that date has just gone, disappeared. So have all my frequently visited site shortcuts. I certainly haven't deleted the history manually, and I needed it kept, so I'm very worried.

Browsing history is volatile cached data - that can be expected to be cleared upon performing a system software update or restart of your iPad.

I keep my devices clutter free as best as I can - so I clear history and cache daily on my computer and weekly on my iOS devices. History used to be helpful when connections were slower because it helped load pages faster; but with todays fast speeds, that is no longer useful.

And no, I am not an Apple employee. You need to contact Apple for that.
