I just purchased my new Mac Pro, but I noticed that when I search for a phrase in Finder, it does not return exact search results for the phrase I entered. Does anyone have a fix for that?

Use the following Spotlight reserved word to find an exact string in all documents, emails, etc.
contents:"Quamquam philosophiae"
This returns all files (and email content) containing these two words from Cicero.
Tested: Ventura 13.4.1.

Are you putting the phrase in quotes?
FWIW, it is working correctly here when using quotes, e.g., searching for "Alex ate an apple" does what you would expect it to do.
Maybe resetting Spotlight will help.
You need to be a little more specific as to how you are searching.
If you are searching for a file name, you can specify it exactly; but in looking for contents, it is a bit hard to understand what "exact" means.
Perhaps an example will help clarifying what is intended and how the result differs from that.

I mean that, in Finder, when I type a phrase such as "Alex ate an apple", Catalina used to return results with all files including the exact phrase; in Ventura, however, it returns all files that contain any of the words. I need to find files with the exact phrase.

I tried and it doesn't. I reindexed spotlight search and I am still having the same problem. I am on Ventura by the way.
No because with Ventura, I noticed that when I put the phrase in quotes, it adds quotes. Like if I type "Alex ate an apple", I see ""Alex ate an apple""
