Hey there Mckenna_82,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

To get started, from the information provided in the 'Related Article' Play Apple Music with Alexa, that was shared on this thread it does appear that Alexa would only be able to play playlist that are created by Apple Music's editors.

Ask Alexa to play your music
You can ask Alexa to play songs, artists, albums, or genres from Apple Music. You can also play playlists from Apple Music's editors or playlists in your iCloud Music Library. Say something like "Alexa, play Chill radio on Apple Music," or "Alexa, play Ariana Grande on Apple Music."

You could still test this by creating an Apple Music playlists from a computer or another Apple device, giving the playlist a specific name, then activate Alexa and ask to play or shuffle the name of the playlist you created: How to create a playlist in the Apple Music app - Apple Support

We hope that's able to help.

Best regards.

I was having issues with this too. In the Apple Music App, I just changed the description for each of my playlists to the title of the playlist, then started to play the first song in each playlist in the Apple Music App. Now Alexa is able to find my playlists. I'm not sure if it was the description, the fact that I played part of a song from each playlist, or both.

Good luck!
