Sim lock

I have an iPhone SE 2020. It is unlocked. I confirmed this by putting a Verizon and a Mint SIM card in and they both work. For some reason in settings it says SIM lock under carrier lock. The reason this is an issue is because I want to get an eSIM because I will be traveling internationally for 10 days, but this setting is preventing me from getting one installed. Does anyone know how to get rid of the sim lock?

Troubleshooting a Carrier-Locked iPhone:

Contact your Carrier. They have locked this. If you are calling form another country, then you may need international calling, and Carrier rates may apply. So, contact your Carrier to get this unlocked, and to find your options for services.

Apple is not here. This is a user to user support site. We are all users here.....just like you. Apple is not here. They will not answer.

If you are quoting my response above.......it is not an email and it was not from Apple.

For what it's worth.....it took maybe 5 minutes to get my phone unlocked when I spoke to a courteous representative at the carrier. Maybe you have the wrong carrier.

I also got iphone 12max pro from tmobile last year 2020 and and fully paid all the balances on the phone and acct and last august this year i had my service from tmobile deactivated and they didnt tell me anything about simlocks or any pin that i need. Now im back and i want to use my iphone on a different service provider but its says sim is locked contact provider i called tmobile and gave them the IMEI and the old phone number i have. Take note before calling tmobile i tried logging in my tmobile acct and says no record was found. Tmobile ask me for a pin and i said what pin the pin for the acct im like what do you mean i dont remember setting up any pin for simlock and they said that they need the pin in ordder to pull up my acct im like what acct my acct feom youbguys is already deactivated and why would tmobile lock the sim if customer deactivated. The acct was deactivated cause i dont like the service anymore so why put a simlock on my iphone its paid its mine so unlock it. Still they ask for the pin spoke to supervisor the same thing. So apple what should we do about carriers not unlocking iphones due to pin issues and carriers not providing apple customers the information we need

Apple does not have anything to do with carriers' policies in locking or unlocking phones or carriers not providing information to their customers, so not sure why you are asking Apple about this.

Ok i recieved an email from one of apples support representative and it so different from what apple commented on my post. So this is what the apple representative emailed me about the simlock issues in having with my iphone and tmobile asking for pin. (“ Apple has nothing to do with carriers locking or unlocking phones or carriers not providing information to their customers”) this is the reply i got from apple when i ask what about carriers who didnt informed customers using iphone. So if carrier doesnt ilunlock sim then we all need to purchase a new iphone wow
