How do I write “If cell C3 is true cell D3 equals £25” .

Cell c3 is a tickbox and I’m using Mac numbers

You don't say what you want if C3 is false (checkbox is not checked) so this assumes you want the cell to appear blank.


In cell D3 try entering this:


=IF(C3,25,"")


Then format D3 as currency and choose £.

The best way is to use the IF function!



A2 (First Box) - The checkbox. It returns TRUE / FALSE based on whether or not the checkbox is ticked.
C2 (Second Box). - The value that will be inserted, if the expression is true
D2 (Third Box) - The value that will be inserted, if the expression is false


This can vary based on what rows and columns you wish to return.


In the above example, since the checkbox is not selected, it will return £0.
