Theatre mode
I was in 10th row of Sleeping Beauty and with my Apple Watch in theatre mode the watch wouldn’t stop making a n alarm noise I never heard before. This was a horrible experience. What was happening.

Theatre or silent mode will not prevent alarms from sounding or going off on your Apple Watch. You will still receive haptic notifications when Theater mode is turned on. This may be why you didn’t recognize it as an alarm sound. This section on this page of the Apple Watch User Guide provides a bit more information: Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
We'd recommend going to the Apple Watch and selecting on Alarms to check for any potential alarms that may have been set up. If they aren't listed on the Apple Watch, check in the Clock app > Alarm on your paired iPhone.
