Macbook Pro specs for .NET Developer using Parallels

I need to purchase a new Macbook Pro. I want to do .NET development, using SSMS (for managing SQL Server dbs), etc. I know they released a Mac version of Visual Studio 2022 but I'm not sure how fully featured it is compared to the Windows version. (I mostly do web projects, MVC, etc.) So I was thinking of using Parallels.

I was eyeing the new 16 inch MBP with the M2 Max chip. I configured it with 64 gb of RAM. But this thing is so expensive.

What specs do you suggest in order to avoid "overkill", but still keeping the specs solid so that this will last me a few years? And I want to avoid Parallels running slowly too.

Also, if you've moved from Windows Visual Studio to Mac, what has been your experience? Is the Mac version just as fully featured? What are you using for managing SQL Server, writing stored procs, etc?

Thanks!
