Seeking Suggestions for Choosing the Right Apple Smartwatch Model

Hello Apple Community,

I'm in the market for an Apple smartwatch and would greatly appreciate your advice and suggestions. With several models available, I'm finding it challenging to determine which Apple smartwatch would best suit my needs and preferences.

I'm particularly interested in features such as fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, checking bills, and the ability to receive notifications on the watch. Additionally, I'd like insights on battery life, compatibility with iPhone models, and any standout features that make a particular Apple smartwatch model worth considering.

If you own an Apple smartwatch or have experience with different models, I would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations. Which model would you suggest, and why? Are there any specific considerations I should keep in mind when making my decision?

Thank you in advance for your valuable insights and assistance!

Hello ahtisham64,

Use Apple Watch - Compare Models - Apple!

I would generally not recommend the Apple Watch Ultra. It does have a bigger screen, longer battery life, the action button, and a few other features but if you're not doing "extreme" sports you'll be completely fine with an Apple Watch Series X. If you have the budget and want the bigger screen and longer battery life go for it! I've seen a lot of people who don't do the extreme sports it's marketed for, but admire the features of the device and bought one.

Generally the Apple Watch Series X will have more features over the Apple Watch SE, which you can see below (there are more differences):

If you're looking for all the health and fitness tracking features, but don't want to pay the Apple Watch Ultra price, the Apple Watch Series 8 will be your go to. If you're okay with less health and fitness tracking features and want to stick to a budget, Apple Watch SE will be your go to.

It really depends on what you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend.

I would advise getting an Apple Watch Series 6, 7, or 8 as these watches are all newer and still support the latest watchOS updates. Apple Watch Series 4 and 5 are still supported, but may fall out of support in the years to come. Apple hasn't said anything about this and watchOS 10 (coming this Fall), still supports the Series 4 and 5 - watchOS 10 Preview - Apple.
