Apple Carplay not working after iOS 16.4.1 update - "Accessory not compatible with iphone error" using original cable

Hi!

I'm having issues with Carplay not wroking anymore on my phone and on my wife's also. Both we are using now iOS 16.5.1 (a). Still the issue persists.

I'm from Romania, the region set on the phone is Romania, I know it's not supported in our country but we used this for about 9 months without any issue. Also I have friends that use Carplay with iOS 16.5.1.

I can connect the phone to the PC and download photos, all is working fine except carplay in the Mazda '22.

Siri is enabled, I'm using original cable, no app restriction is set, tried network settings reset...

Please let me know if there is anything also I can try beside reset the phone to factory.

To start, we understand the cable is working with another device, but since this error is specifically related to the accessory, let's first try another cable, or connect via Bluetooth, if possible.

If the issue continues, follow these steps: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support See if there is an available update for the firmware for your audio system and apply that.
