Installing Star Trek Fleet Command on Mac

I tried to install the Mac version of Star Trek Fleet Command on my MacBook and though I have more than 100GB free in storage, the installer says I only have 44MB and won't let me proceed. Would anyone have an idea as to why this occurs and what to do?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3

When I do a Google search about this game, it turns up many references to installing an Android emulator (typically BlueStacks), and then installing Star Trek Fleet Command inside of it.

If you are going that route, then maybe the only storage space that the game sees is whatever space the emulator simulates. You might have to configure the emulator to pretend to be an Android device with more storage, much as you would configure Parallels to use a larger disk image file (virtual disk) for a guest copy of Windows.

There is also one reference to a Mac client.

If you are using the native Mac client, and it is not properly detecting the amount of free space on your system, I'd suggest contacting the vendor. Chances are that there is some bug in their software which they need to fix. They might already have a patch, or you might have to wait for one.
