What is the latest macOS version for a MacBook Pro 15" mid 2014

I have a mid 2014 15" Mac book pro currently running on High Sierra 10.13.6. What is the highest Maos can I upgrade to and where can I get it.

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and then on the download link for Big Sur.


Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.

A mid 2014 can be upgraded to the latest  version of Big Sur macOS 11 but no later. See: How to download and install macOS - Apple Support


Be aware that if you upgrade to Catalina 10.15 or later you will also need to update any non-Apple 32-bit apps. See: https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/

If you can't or don't want to upgrade your macOS, for security reasons you should consider using a 3rd party internet browser that supports their current version with your older macOS. One example is Chrome https://www.google.com/chrome/
