I don't use Apple computers but do like my iPhone. I am happy with Microsoft computers. Would I be wasting money if I but an Apple watch? Would I be limited in the useability of the watch?

The most common interaction between a Mac and an Apple Watch is allowing the Apple Watch to unlock the Mac. And that is a minor thing, since most Macs have fingerprint unlock anyway.

Just about everything else the Apple Watch does is either an interaction with the iPhone or just specific to the Apple Watch.

as long as you have the iPhone, tou have all you need to enjoy the Apple Watch.
