Finding "referenced files" in my library

In uploading my photos to iCloud, I got a pop-up: "6 referenced files in your library will not upload to iCloud Photos. Select referenced files in your library and choose "Consolidate" ... My question: how do I find those 6 referenced files in 27,000+ total in my library?

Hello erictheblue,

We'd be happy to help. You can use a Smart Album to find referenced photos automatically. You can learn how to create a smart album here: Create Smart Albums to group photos automatically in Photos on Mac - Apple Support

To find these photos, create a new Smart Album and select, Photo / Is / Referenced.

Thanks.
