hi -probably after a recent update there is no photo in my user login just that blank headshot. there are no choices below or to the left. i'm on 12.6.6. i see others had a problem changing from a default but my default is no photo. the test account has a photo and the Guest User has the same blank headshot and is turned off.
aren't there supposed to be choices that i can swap out the default? thanks

hi thanks. I had that but no emojis were showing up.. I was able to change it. if anyone else has this issue, open the lock and play around with the User photo in test account. then I was able to get a photo into the regular user account. thanks
You're welcome. You do have to select the correct version of macOS from the drop down menu…
for future reference where was that drop down menu?
At the top of the page of the link I posted. Under where it says "Select version:"
yeah it is odd. none of this shows up --even now when I go back into preferences no emoji list comes up
I will just stick to the photo I had.
