Limit of $250 CAD on purchases using Apple Pay. Probably also on purchases using Google Pay or Samsung Pay as well.
This would mean, for instance, that you couldn't use Apple Pay (alone) to buy a new Mac. You would need to bring some other payment method, like a physical credit card.

This may be a Visa and Mastercard thing, where Canadian banks issuing Visa and Mastercard cards are going by Visa and Mastercard guidelines. Seems like it would be that, or a bank thing, where the individual banks decided what limit to allow.

I don't know the detailed reasoning, and suspect that you would need to ask the banks, Visa, or Mastercard about that.

That means we can only buy newspapers with Apple Pay.
#Inflation.
Ah, thanks. I was trying to fit this into an iPhone (the forum to which this was posted) context.
$250 CAD is almost $189 USD, so it should be enough to pay for a meal at a restaurant, or a trip to a gas station.
Just not enough for any major-ticket purchase.
Yeah, I was just funnin’ 😊
