Correct, you must have an Apple Card account in good standing to be eligible to open an Apple Savings account.
That’s fairly easy if you’re new to credit. Get a secured credit card from Discover or Bank of America. If you’re a student 18 or over Chase Bank has a great starter card.
Pay your card in full every month and in 6 months you can apply for an Apple Card.
This is from chase - Unlike a credit card, funds from a prepaid credit card are not loans, so what you do with them isn't reported to the credit bureaus. If anything, they're more similar to debit and gift cards in that you are using your own funds to spend money.
The APR is 4.07% and the APY is 4.15%. Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly on the last day of the month.
And if I don’t have enough credit history to get the card I can’t open the savings account ?
It’s a shame -
Chase may not report theirs, but Discover does and so does Bank of America. I was suggesting seeing if you qualified for Chase student card. They have lower requirements if you’re a student.
