iPhone 12 mini battery issues. Having to recharge multiple times per day. Heard that iOS 16.5.2 is coming and will help or resolve the issues. Verizon rep suggested to go ahead and replace the battery.
Any recommendations?

Hello ~ Have you checked you battery health?
iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support*
*You can find these in Settings > Battery > Battery Health (with iOS 16.1 or later, find these in Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging).
If your battery health is 80% or below get it replaced as not update will fix that. Take care.

Hello once more ~ I understand not wanting to buy another as I am inordinately attached to my 12 mini. Have you restarted?

I did the forced restart as you suggested. Not sure if it helped. I have done the standard shutdown and restart before with no change. What would you expect to see with the forced restart? Thanks again!
Yes. 86%, heard Apple says >80% is “good”.
Also, phone is SLOOOOW. Very annoying. Hate to think about new phone as I just paid this one off.
