I have had several situations where I need to check my Apple email? How do I do this?"

Seems Apple sends eMails to the eMail address that is used as your Apple ID log-in,

(or if your log-in is a phone number as in a very few countries, to the eMail address listed in your Apple account).

If you use iCloud, and have used an iCloud eMail address as your Apple ID, you can view Apple eMails there:

Send and receive iCloud Mail on all your devices and keep Mail settings up to date - Apple Support

Else:

Generally you would add your eMail account (Yahoo, GMail, or etc.) to the "Mail" app:

and your messages from Apple would appear there ...

You can also check eMails online anytime you wish:

Eg: by logging in to your eMail account on your eMail provider's website (eg: Yahoo, GMail, Aol, etc).
