iPhone as Live Cam in Keynote seriously lagging since last MacOS/iOS updates

I have been using enthusiastically my iPhone 12 Pro Max as Live Cam in Apple Keynote presentations to capture myself and distribute the recorded presentations as videos on YouTube ever since this wonderful option had been introduced. The main hardware is a late-2018 MacBook Pro with then-top end config (32GB RAM, 2TB SSD drive). Since the last update to Ventura 13.4.1 and iOS 16.5.1, the Live Cam has started showing significant lagging even when every other apps are quit. Anyone experiencing similar performance problems, maybe finding a fix for that? I am using absolutely the same hardwares and settings than in the past for producing dozens of video recordings, the only change is the system updates. Thanks in advance!

Hi Laszlo281,

For help with live video in Keynote presentations, check your video an mic mode settings are correct. The section 'Use video effects and mic modes' from the article here can get you started: Continuity Camera: Use iPhone as a webcam for Mac Additionally, if you're using the camera wirelessly you can test the wired connection to see if there's an improvement.

If you don't see a specific app or process that might be causing the issue, it may be worth testing in a new user account or safe mode. If needed, the articles below have the steps to test.
