How to read/restore Whatsapp messages from iPhone 4S (2014-2015) backup or from the phone after changing my Apple ID login e-mail in
So I found several old iPhones (8, 6S, 6, 4S) and my old Macbook Pro which I used about same time as those iPhones. I decided to restore all of them so I could finally have photos, messages and other data somewhere safe. I never made any iCloud backups then but found couple itunes backups from Macbook.
iPhone 6 had only one backup and the phone is all dead. It got very wet if I remember so I guess there is nothing I can do myself?
iPhone 4S was the real problem. I have changed my Apple ID login e-mail address, which I used with that phone, loooong time ago and that e-mail address is not valid anymore. I can't start Whatsapp app with my iPhone 4S because the version is almost 10 years old and it won't send the phone number validation message. I tried to backup the phone to iCloud with my new Apple ID but after trying to restore it (and also the 2014 backup version) many times with several different phones and devices from iCloud and iTunes, with Macbook and PC, with old and new iOS and Whatsapp versions, and tried to start Whatsapp but everytime chats were all empty.
After hours of googling, apparently I can't get those old Whatsapp messages (every app downloaded with different Apple ID?) without logging in with that old Apple ID?
When going in to phones options and system data usage after restoring that iPhone 4S backup from 2014, every iPhone always shows whatsapp data usage about 700mb. But when starting Whatsapp and checking data usage from there it shows 0 bit.
3rd party tools like iMazing and Tenoshare shows that there still is all the messages which I very much wanted to get and read. I can see Log files from chats and the backup data files with all the documents but they are not readable. I also can't extract them with those 3rd party tools because they say that whatsapp app and iOS are outdated. And if I update the app with those 3rd party tools (which I paid at this point.. both..), then all those logs and documents are gone.
Point of this all is that we have 5y wedding anniversary coming and I wanted to give my wife this photobook for a gift which has all the important photos and messages from day one. Now I don't have messages from the first year.
Any ideas how to get them?
