Contact the bank that issued the credit or debit card used for the fraudulent transaction. Apple Pay does not approve or decline charges. Apple Pay only securely transmits the data associated with your card. Your credit card issuer approved the charge and you need to dispute the charge. Please use the phone number on the back of the card and talk to their fraud support team.
So explain this:
I haven't left my home for 2 weeks cause inhospitalisation.
I have my card, I have my phone, I never shared any data with anyone. Didn't have a 2FA request I did not make. I was on my phone when I got a notification from wallet that I paid an amount using apple pay right now. And I didn't make that payment. Nor did any authorisation come up. The app which the payment was made on didn't use my account so the payment wasn't made on my phone yet it used my applepay, that you say it is impossible. But somehow it isn't.
Explain that.
I thought the same untill today when I got a notification that I paid using apple pay. And I didn't pay. Nor was my card or phone handled by anyone else.
Normally I keep my card at a safe cause I never use it, I always pay with apple pay.
I think what we’ve all learned is that this is an ecosystem of payment systems. Apple is part of it. The old adage… You’re only as strong as your weakest link. Unfortunately I think what you’ll get from the forum Here is a technical answer that it, of course couldn’t be the Apple devices fault… It’s the car analogy again. You can have a great car, but if the third-party tires and gas make it run like crud… No one wants the car. So as the car manufacturer you better fix the ecosystem! Put more controls and standards in place. Apple is no different
I didn’t even enter information lol I used Apple Pay on a website and they charged me multiple times two weeks later. No my stuff wasn’t stolen and added to another phone. It was the same website each time. I’m not sure why this is so difficult to understand.
So basically Apple Pay is flawless but my card still got leaked magically in the process and it’s my credit cards fault. There is zero point of using it then. I also get notified when my card is linked to a device. So I already know that wasn’t the case.
And right there is where the ecosystem needs Apple to tighten things down. Realizing that every potential solution creates another problem, but Apple Pay is not done evolving. The ecosystem has weaknesses that Apple as the primary player in the ecosystem could solve. Most technology solutions account for human air, because humans provide the unknown variables. Apple knows this. And yet this form and others are filled with people having the same issues.
What solution are you proposing? That a given credit card can only be installed on one iPhone, meaning that you and another family member could not each have the same credit card on their iPhones? Actually, years ago AOL would allow a credit card to be used with only one user account. Which created a lot of ill will.
But even then, that would not prevent a card thief from adding that stolen card to Google Pay, Samsung Pay, PayPal, or any other payment system. Or just using it online.
So what do you think Apple should be doing that they aren’t?
never physically used credit, i physically use debit card for atm, debit for gas as most stations in my area dont allow credit, this credit card is only linked to apple pay and i only use apple pay at POS on a daily basis and dont use it for online shopping where it asks card number and CCV.
so unless apple pay can be skimmed like a physical card at POS, i don't know how it got used.
yes i've read the link.
They’re using skimmers and shimmers at bank ATMs too. They put a small camera along the top with a camera to capture the PIN.

There’s an interview with a Secret Service agent that shows some of the hardware used.
I think mine got hacked . I used Chargepoint at work couple of days back and today at midnight chargepoint charges came through. I suspect someone was able to replicate the authentication of wallet and tryingto use the same identity somewhere else by mocking charge merchant.
I am afraid what you say is incorrect.
In March while I was in Hertfordshire thieves managed to take £1,2000 from my banks account at a restaurant in London by using Apple pay and I certainly gave no authority for a second device to be used.Subsequently I had fraud on a credit card and nobody can explain how this happened.None of of my credit cards or debit card had been lost and were with me.I have no faith whatsoever with Apple pay and all my cards have been replaced and removed from Applewallet. Please explain how this was done.
Did they get back to you? Same thing has just happened to me.
So you’re saying that “tap to pay” can be hacked? But a remote Apple Pay transaction cannot?
A device ID is different than an Apple ID.
Were the charges subscriptions?
