Unable to send earthlink email on iPhone

Nothing has been reconfigured on my iPhone for my earthlink email. I don't usually use the phone for that, but I just checked something in my outbox on the phone and saw a slew of emails that I'd sent to myself (as reminders for when I was on my Mac later) and there was the list of unsent emails. Using iOs 16.5.1, but these older unsent emails predate that.
