Change the volume on my iPhone

The volume buttons are on the left side of the phone. There is a Volume Up and a Volume Down. There’s also a volume slider in the Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen) and in the Settings/Sounds & Haptics specifically for the ringtone and alert volume.

I can’t up volume

I’m trying to turn UP volume so I don’t hear what I’m listening too
