Recently at my job, my boss was going to throw away an Apple Watch Series 3 that had been left at the store by a customer for roughly six months. I'm an IT hobbyist and seeking a career change to IT; I asked if I could have it, as I thought it could be a fun project of some sort. Something I'm curious about is, does the Apple Watch charger support data transfer?
There may be third-party solutions that provide that capability. Google for them. I can't vouch for any of them.
BTW, if it is Activation Locked, Activation Lock is designed to prevent anyone else from using an Apple Watch if it's ever lost or stolen.
