F7 & F9 keys are no longer used in Keynote 13.1

I have a handy little Bluetooth remote control (Mocute 032) that sends key strokes to my Mac and can play/pause rewind, etc. audio in Music by sending F7 through F12 keypresses. It could also be used to present slideshows with Keynote as that app used to respond to F9 & F7 to advance to next build & go to previous slide.

I recently upgraded to Keynote 13.1 on my Desktop and Laptop and now that functionality appears to have been removed. The remote works fine otherwise.

Does anyone have a workaround for this?
