Do I have 120hz with the apple tv 4k?

I thinking about buying an apple tv 4k and I have a tv with 4k and 120hz, and my question is if I buy it, the apple tv will be using those 120hz or know my tv will be alway 60 hz? because there is a huge diferences between 60hz and 120hz

No, the Apple TV 4K maxes out at 60 Hz. Higher frame rates are not available but the Apple TV 4K is compatible with lower frame rates: Turn on Match Dynamic Range or Match Frame Rate on your Apple TV - Apple Support.

Yes, and when content switching from 24 to 30 or vise versa, the processor doesnt have to re-sync either. No black screens waiting on signal lock etc. Much better experience for people watching content on mixed libraries of TV and Film content.


120/30 = 4x frame repeat. 120/24 = 5x frame repeat, however this wouldnt be seen as a pixel set to red would just stay red etc.
