dual layer burning

dual layer burning

i am trying to dual layer burn a dmg onto a memorex 8x 8.5 gb 240 min dual layer dvd+R disc. the dmg is 7.5 gb it hasnt worked on the 2 apples ive tried it on (one old G5 and a mac pro) i am using toast titanium and believe it to be the disc. what is the best kind of disc for the apple burners

MacBook Pro 2.66 Ghz 15 in, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

Until now I've used only
Memorex DVD+R DL 2.4X
with which I'm very happy.
(burning from an external LaCie drive as well as from my internal iMac drive)

I use Verbatim DataLife Plus DVD+R/DL, silver and white inkjet printable. Have used for years on multiple Macs and haven't had a coaster yet.

The white inkjet printable are #95123

Dual layer DVDs are extremely finicky. You may have to go through several different brands and disks before you get a working copy. A number of people on this board recommended Verbatim DVD+R DL as being quite good.

ok Im using white printable Verbatim DVD "-R" and made half a dozen coasters today.

is the "+R" all that different?
