iCloud subscription

I just upgraded my subscription from .99/50gb to 2.99/200gb. Because the 50gb was showing always full. Now when I changed it to 200, it already shows 50gb of my 200 is already used. So where did the 50gb of my 200 go?? It is frustrating.

Yes, you bought 200gb. But that is not an addition to what was already there, it's 200gb total. If you look at your iCloud settings, it should say total storage 200gb.

You were already using 50gb of storage, so by buying the 200gb plan you added an extra 150gb of storage to iCloud.

200 (the amount of storage you bought) - 50 (amount of storage you're using) = 150gb.

That is what I mean by you purchased an extra 150gb of storage. It still adds up to 200gb, but since you were already using 50gb of it, you only get 150gb of that 200.

You were already using 50gb of iCloud storage.

You upgraded to the 200gb plan, which means you now have 200gb of total iCloud storage.

However, you were already using 50gb of iCloud storage, that's where it's coming from. The data doesn't just disappear unless you want to delete all of it. You're still using 50gb of storage.

By purchasing the 200gb iCloud storage plan, you added an extra 150gb of storage. 50gb was in use, you now have an extra 150gb which totals up to 200gbs.

You don’t understand how this works. When you upgraded to 200 GB of storage, you don’t add that on top of the 50 GB of storage that you already had. You are now paying for 200 total GB of storage, not 250. Since you were out of storage on the 50 GB plan, that 50 GB of storage is now showing on your 200 GB plan. So you now have 150 GB of storage available.
