CALENDARS IPAD PRO/ IPHONE13+/IMAC 24"

I FOLLOWED ALL SUGGESTIONS ON THIS WEBSITE*. MY CALENDAR ENTRIES AREN'T SHOWING UP ON MY IPAD PRO AND MY IPHONE 13. THEY JUST WON'T SYNC. ANOTHER RELATING QUESTION IF THE APPOINTMENT IS IN COLOR ON MY IMAC 24" SHOULD IT SHOW IN COLOR ON MY IPAD PRO AND IPHONE 13? THANKS

Iphone calendar will not sync with Mac calendar. Events that I put on to my iPhone calendar do not show up on my iMac calendar and vis a versa. I have checked settings on both devices, and iCloud calendar is toggled on. I'm sure that it is a simple fix for my 82 year old simple mind. Thanks for your thoughts.
