Is there any way to turn off or ignore this "Are you still here? " message that pops up every 4 hours after starting a new channel? We use the TV to entertain our Dogs while we are gone and its always turned off when we get back home. It would be nice if it would not ask this. Is the answer to just steam say Netflix outside of the Apple TV box?

I'm away from home at the moment and don't have access to my Apple TV to check its settings. However, I don't believe this is an Apple TV feature.. I believe these are the apps you have installed that are asking you these questions and you'll have to go through that apps settings to turn them off.
For example, Netflix has this - https://help.netflix.com/en/node/114059. "Netflix asks, "Are you still watching ...?" so you don't lose your place or use internet data when you're not actually watching a TV show or movie."

On your remote, go to the settings icon (cog) on the upper right. Click on it. You should see a new menu list on left side of screen. Click “preferences”. The new menu options to the right includes “Sleep Timer” you can choose 4,8 & 12 hour sleep timer. Default is 4 hours. I changed mine to 12 hours. Mission accomplished!

On Apple TV:
Select your desired time. Again, this timer only starts when there is no activity on the TV. If a video/steam is playing or if the remote is moving this timer will not start. I have mine set to 15 minutes.

The Apple TV one will only turn off if nothing is playing and there is no movement from the remote.
I’m away from home so I can’t verify, but if you open the Settings app, I believe it’s under General?
I’ll be home tomorrow afternoon, so if you cannot find it and/or no one corrects me, I’ll give you the exact location.
Oh I did think this was an Apple TV feature, but I just Googled same thing about Hulu and they too have a way to disable it.

The only feature Apple TV has related to this is an inactivity timer. If it detects nothing playing and no movement it will turn off after x amount of time.
How do you turn that off? Maybe both are my culprits.
